My style is deeply conversational. When I meet with people, I tend to help them develop and elaborate upon the stories of their joy and suffering, laughter and sorrow. I carefully help them make connections that they have not thought about before. In doing so, new possibilities for understanding and coping unfold. Often I use metaphor and narrative examples to help develop new experiences or teach new ideas. My clients describe their experiences of our sessions as thought-provoking, warm, and caring, with "a-ha" moments along the way.
I have lived a highly varied life and have worked with hundreds of clients in over a dozen different settings. I can understand where you are coming from, either due to personal experience or through walking with others who have a similar experience to yours.
