Potential clients can expect a welcoming environment that fosters new ideas and attitudes to managing daily stressors. We will identify triggers and create coping skills to help with anxious symptoms. Develop and identify core themes in communication issues in relationships. Process experiences from the past and how they could be affecting current functioning. My approach to therapy first requires time to build rapport and trust with the client. Clients will feel heard and their feelings validated. Once a problem or goal has been identified, I utilize a core concepts from motivational interviewing, CBT and solution-focused therapy.
CUNY-Lehman College MSW Program graduate. Currently, I am in a certification program with the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy's Sex Therapy Program. I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to help clients with relationship issues, anxiety, exploring sexuality, work-related stress and other areas of concern for LGBTQAI+ individuals.
Do not hesitate to reach out for additional information. It is important that the therapist you seek fits your needs and it is typical to try different therapists until there is a good fit. Booking through Headway makes the process a little simpler and they have navigators to help with insurance and payments.
