I work with young adults facing feelings of worry, self doubt and guilt. My client’s worries keep them from taking risks when the outcome is unknown. They have avoided saying no and endured painful situations due to fear of hurting people they care for as well as strangers. They also have a drive to better themselves and care deeply for the people in their lives. They are ready to be heard and are open to being challenged with new perspectives. I have watched my clients learn to work through their discomfort, recognize their strengths and move forward toward the life they want to have.

Worries, doubt and guilt don’t come from nowhere and ignoring them or pushing through can only work for so long. I help clients learn to listen to their thoughts and learn to understand their purpose. The work of therapy is learning to identify when the mind is making a valid point and when it is acting as a misguided helper
