I primarily focused on helping adult individuals. Rather it be a neurotic disorder, a mood disorder, a psychosis, or something less complex, I have a thorough understanding of working with individuals. I have focused my therapeutic education on clinical adult mental health. I utilize system theory, cognitive behavior theory, dialectical behavioral theory, and empowerment theory. All of these concepts I have studied throughout my college career into post-graduate trainings. Each plays an important part throughout the therapeutic process and are utilize interchangeably.
I utilize the strengths based perspective and motivational interviewing to elicit information that is vital in the therapeutic process. These perspectives are essential in building therapist-client rapport and trust as well. Additionally, I utilize cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to address root causes.
