My outlook on counseling pulls from mainly three areas. First, I shape how I interact with anybody that walks into the office from a person-centered perspective and treat them with positivity, empathy, and respect. By fostering this genuine relationship during our sessions, I hope that a sense of confidence and self-fulfillment is developed to better help you with the interpersonal relationships that you have outside of the office. I look forward to growing together, pushing each other to become who we are looking to be, and testing the limits of what we thought we could do.
I am also deeply interested in couples and family work. I believe in the impact that other people (especially those in close proximity) can have on one’s life. In many cases there is no telling how much of an impact that family, partners, or friends can have on ones life as well as the impact that you can have on theirs.
Finally, I have years of experience working with kids of many ages. I love to incorporate play therapy into my work with kids and making sure that the environment is as playful and expressive as they need. I always work my hardest to engage with the kids and make sure that it is not only fun, but fulfilling, rewarding, and full of growth.
