As a licensed professional counselor in practice for almost a decade, I am trained and qualified to treat individuals dealing with most mental health and emotional disorders, but I specialize in anxiety and related difficulties, such as depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (Cert. no. 902544). I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults dealing with the traumatic aftermath of emotionally and physically abusive family environments. I also work with a good number of artists, musicians and other creative types.
I am an Adlerian therapist in orientation, following precepts developed by Alfred Adler in the early 20th century and further defined and enriched by theorists and clinicians to the present day. In practice, my style of therapy relies on cognitive-behavioral technique and seeks to meet the patient where they are.
I see my role as helping patients define their desired destination and acquire the tools that will take them where they want to go. I do both in office and telehealth sessions. I can be found on various major telehealth platforms such as Headway and Alma.
