I'm dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care for BIPOC/Asian individuals, 1st and 2nd+ generation immigrants, international students/sojourners, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those with religious or spiritual backgrounds. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, religious trauma, generational/complex trauma, eating disorder, body image issues, cultural/racial/sexual identity issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, stress, family and relationship issues, men’s issues (sexual and non sexual), and other challenges one might face.
My therapy orientation is integrative and relational. He has been trained in Psychodynamic/analytic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Experiential, Person-centered therapy, and other therapy approaches. Throughout my clinical journey, I actively put effort on decolonizing mental health in counseling and advocating for social justice in our community.
I believe that with having a multicultural identity, one may have parts that are born in different countries/cultures. I am eager to help these parts feel welcomed, nurtured, and empowered. I am a current board member of Chicago Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology (CAPP), as a liaison for graduate students' involvement.
