Hi there! I’m licensed in Massachusetts and I specialize with working with children (ages 5+), families, adults and I am a proud ally to the LGBTQI+ community. I have assisted individuals with a variety of mental health needs including, but not limited to; depression, anxiety, conduct disorders, neurodevelopment disorders, and trauma and stressor related disorders.

As a therapist, I work not as a "shrink" but an "enhancer," helping clients work through past problems, engage the challenges of the present, and move towards a more fulfilling future. I am client-focused rather than technique-focused because each client-therapist relationship is unique, and techniques should be employed selectively to optimize change and growth. That said, clients can expect that I will: 1) Act as a strong ally, adding emotional and intellectual energy to their efforts to change, 2) Provide insight and fresh perspective that takes them beyond their usual patterns of perceiving and responding to life circumstances.

Welcome! I believe our problems are related to both environmental and/or internal factors, however we don't need to be the victim of our current or life's circumstances. Our healing resides within each one of us, and all we may need is guidance to help us reach clarity to claim our true power within. The author and M.D., Scott Peck states at the start of his book, The Road Less Traveled, “Life is difficult.” When we experience those difficulties, therapy gives us an outlet to sift through those painful emotions of confusion, fear, sadness, and even hopelessness, but most importantly therapy can help give us a new outlook on life.

I am dedicated to supporting adolescents, adults, and their families in healing from their past trauma in order to help empower them into leading heathy and productive lives into the future. I have provided trauma therapy to children, teens and their families in the form of TF-CBT and SMART therapy for the past 7 years at a small, non-profit agency in New Bedford. I was formerly a CBAT clinician as well as the former Clinical Director for youth residential treatment programs (DCF and DYS) in New Bedford. I was also a counselor and advocate at local Domestic Violence shelters and residential children's programs for over a decade.
