I work very heavily with adolescents and adults who are experiencing the aftermath of trauma. PTSD, depression, anxiety (especially socially based), anger, identity confusion, and attachment issues are all things that one can experience when trying to get through a difficult time or life event. For some, trauma is not the concern. Their struggling with who they are, where they fit in, and how they connect with others.
When it comes to therapy there is no one size fits all method of treatment. I utilize EMDR therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe establishing a strong therapeutic relationship of trust and understanding creates an atmosphere for healing!
