I have a passion for working with couples by improving communication to reduce conflict. I help couples understand how their history has impacted who they are today. Using a solution focused approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will explore unconscious triggers, unmet needs and gain a deeper understanding of our behavioral responses. While working on guided communication exercises, the couple will learn effective ways to express their needs and develop appropriate behavioral responses during conflict.
I work with individuals who are dealing with negative thinking, anger, anxiety, depression & low self esteem. I teach effective coping skills that will empower the client to take control of their thinking, which has a direct impact on one's level of happiness. I help clients better understand themselves and learn how to communicate their needs.
I've been married to my husband for 29 years. We have three children together. I have experienced many of the life challenges that my clients bring to their sessions. I have personally struggled with anxiety my entire life as well as bouts of depression. This is the driving force behind the passion I have for my work.
