When people ask what I do for a living I often hear things like “oh that must be so hard. I can’t imagine doing what you do”. Not offended but my typical response is, if you genuinely like people and care deeply about their welfare, being a therapist isn’t hard at all. In my experience, being a therapist is exciting and deeply rewarding. For many years I worked in the substance abuse treatment field with an emphasis on trauma therapy. I'm passionate about working with adults who are having difficulty with mood disorders, trauma recovery, and substance abuse problems.
Treatment consists of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and psychoeducation to help you understand what might be happening. We will collaborate on a treatment plan tailored to your needs, your strengths, and goals. Through teletherapy, I provide an emotionally safe and supportive environment where you can talk about anything.
