Considering therapy can stir up the question, "Is healing even possible for me?" My answer is, "Yes, it is!" I've found that when issues come to the surface and disrupt our lives, they are ready for healing! Our issues often began as coping mechanisms to deal with difficult life experiences. These “solutions” then take on a life of their own and keep us stuck in negative patterns. I help my clients find where their problems got stuck, release them, and experience healing and freedom. I also believe that experiencing positive emotions (like joy, hope, and laughter) is an integral part of healing, and these are part of my sessions.
I provide therapy for adults of all ages, and work with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, sexuality concerns, and spiritual issues. I use a holistic approach to counseling drawing from emotional, cognitive, body (somatic), and spiritual techniques depending on your preferences and specific concerns.
My style is authentic and real, and I bring my full self to the counseling relationship. I have found safety and relational connection are keys to accelerate healing, and I work from an experiential and attachment-based approach. I am pretty fun, and very intentional and passionate about helping my clients find true healing that lasts!
