Sometimes it can feel as if no one is listening and even if they are, they don't seem to understand us. I like to help others not just find their voice, but also feel understood as well as learn to listen to one another. Not only is communication key in life but also the abilty to understand and accept other's views . There are also times that we as individuals don't always know who we are or how to express ourselves to others, in counseling/therapy we learn so much about ourselves and how to thrive and share the best part of us.
I offer CBT, person-centered, culturally sensitive, solution-focused therapy. I work with families, parents, children and adolescents as well as couples and individuals. My personal goal is to provide services to people who would not usually seek mental health services so I make my services affordable and accessible to all.
For the first 12 years in this field, I worked in non-profit organizations that focused on helping families stay together and thrive. Helped individuals in their communities learn to use their support systems and become independently successful in life. Now in private practice, I want to continue supporting people to thrive and reach their full potential.
