I am a psychotherapist who specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I am unapologetically optimistic and truly believe that there is unlimited potential with individuals when it is properly discovered and nurtured. My experience at Amberwing and DBT allows me to help transition after treatment to ensure positive long-term results. I also specialize in transition from Essentia IOP, Adult Partial and Inpatient for both adolescents and adults. I work from a strengths based perspective and believe that the relationship with the client is the most important part of the journey to healing.
I also have experience working with people of all ages as they face a diagnosis of cancer or other life-changing medical or physical ailments. From initial diagnosis to the transition to treatment and to long-term survival, I can help individuals and families cope with the feelings and emotions and help them work through these events.
I have training in anxiety for adolescents and young adults and use aspects of self compassion to work with clients to reframe anxious thoughts that interfere with daily life. I have specialty training in Recognizing and Responding to Suicide Risk (RRSR) through the American Association of Suicidology.
