Hello I am Mary O'Leary and I have been practicing Social Work since 1992. I have worked with children and adults in a residential and community based programs my entire career. My clients have ranged from Major Depression, Bipolar and Trauma Survivors to Adjustment Disorders and I have worked with both males and females. I believe very strongly that there is no person who is defined only by a diagnosis. I think that being healthy is a definition the client identifies and is only successful when that occurs. I also believe that people are capable of making good decisions for themselves when they are given support and acceptance
I have a wide variety of experiences but really find that each persons' unique personality determines my approach to helping them get to a state where they feel healthy. I have worked with those who have experienced trauma in their lives which is becoming more prevalent in assessments . I focus on helping them feel safe and moving forward in their lives
