Big and small events happen that can have a big impact on our thoughts and create a situation that can be hard to navigate. I'm here to process these thoughts and work towards skills development to assist with management of symptoms you're experiencing. I believe therapy is one of the many things we can do to support change in our lives, and I aim to provide an approachable environment to promote growth. In 2009 I received my undergraduate degree from Georgia State University in Social Work and worked as a social worker for several years prior to going back to graduate school in 2016.
I have experience working with families, parents, adolescents, adults and older adults. I am certified in Problem Solving Treatment (PST) from the AIMS Center at the University of Washington. In addition to PST, I have completed training through Postpartum Support International on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
I strive to meet clients where they are, and to work alongside them to address the changes they desire to make. Our physical health and mental health are closely intertwined, and as a therapist I encourage movement as an intervention to address symptoms of depression and anxiety. I'm excited to meet you and start our work together!
