Dr. Bosker's Mission: - to restore hope to those who have lost hope - to help people improve their sense of self-worth, value, and purpose in life - to facilitate healing, recovery, and personal growth in a safe harbor of compassion and understanding Dr. Bosker is the first in her family to be born in the U. S. and also the first to earn a doctoral degree. She earned her Bachelors degree from Hope College in 1993. She majored in psychology, but also studied various languages and religions, and lived overseas for half a year.
In doing so, she gained a deeper understanding of how people from different cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds approach life. She subsequently worked at a shelter for homeless women before starting her graduate studies at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC).
Dr. Bosker completed her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at SIUC. She came to southern California to complete her internship at the University of California San Diego. She subsequently completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Aurora Behavioral Healthcare in San Diego.
