My private practice is dedicated to working with children and adolescents, helping them learn how to express their emotions and gain control over their behaviors. I use principals of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and psyco-dynamic relations to teach young people to overcome difficulties from anxiety, depression, and other issues. For children dealing with pressures such as divorce, friendship difficulties and academic stress I offer a safe environment for them to give voice to their concerns and develop a problem solving plan. During the entire process I provide critical parental feedback.
Throughout my work with children I am guided by a basic philosophy: Every child has unique and important strengths. Identifying and harnessing these strengths is the surest way for a young person to become a confident and resilient individual.
