I welcome clients who are grappling with grief, life transitions, identity explorations, and issues of meaning and purpose. Much of my experience has been assisting students with the adjustment into and out of college and graduate school. I also have experience working with people who are navigating the challenges of mid-life and/or transitions into older adulthood. A particular interest of mine is the adjustment to parenthood. I aim to help clients face both the losses and opportunities that transitions hold, in order to deepen their ability to be fully present to their life. My goal is to help build resilience and joy.
I use a lens that considers the cultural context of the client and my life and that looks at attachment experiences through the lifespan. I try to create a safe base in which my clients can be fully themselves. My goal is to help clients develop more resilience, empowerment and an ability to trust themselves as they face the challenges that life presents.
I welcome people who are contemplating therapy to reach out to schedule a first appointment with me. I am happy to discuss your needs and provide an honest assessment of whether or not I think I can help. Match matters and it takes a collaborative conversation to ensure that a good match is made.
