Founder of Family & Youth Institute, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Counselor Supervisor. I also hold a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and am a Certified School Counselor. Dedicated to helping people live the best life possible, I believe individuals/families can resolve their own problems, make healthy choices, and build a good life with the appropriate tools and skills. My mission is to provide those tools and skills through an eclectic counseling approach, utilizing psycho-education, individual, group, and family counseling. I offer educational consulting to help navigate 504.
My experiences include counseling couples, and individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, anger, and substance abuse. As a school counselor and professional counselor, I have worked with adolescents and families. Attention deficit disorder (ADD), oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), and general behavioral concerns represent a major practice focus.
As a counselor, educator with 27 years experience, and certified parent facilitator, I help clients learn skills to improve their daily life quality andassist parents in supporting their child's mental health and school success. I facilitate the Managing Yourself Behavior Insights Program. I offer a client-centered approach within an accepting, safe setting.
