I have been a Special Education Teacher and Counselor for over 30 years. I have a deep passion for children/adolescents and their well-being. My philosophy is based on a psychodynamic, developmental approach, which includes object relations theory and the model of Kohut’s Self Psychology. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is also helpful in changing patterns that impede growth and awareness. Expressive Arts are often useful tools in developing new perceptions and perspectives for problem-solving. I believe in the process of our God-given Life and therefore respect the unfolding of each individual person.
