Beginning counseling can be both exciting and anxiety inducing, so you need a place that will be comforting. challenging, safe to explore hard thoughts and ideas, and above all, might just help you to make the changes and relief you've been seeking. I work with a variety of issues such as anxiety, complex trauma, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, career issues, grief/loss, "stuckness", and more!
Counseling with me is a collaborative effort where we journey together to work towards your healing. Building on a neurobiological foundation, I use walk-and-talk, narrative, creative arts, mindfulness, and CBT/DBT interventions to help clients regulate emotion, heal from trauma, change unhealthy thinking patterns, and build self compassion and self worth.
Together we can build a space that feels safe, welcoming, and even fun! Whether you have tried traditional talk therapy before and felt like it wasn't a good fit or are brand new to therapy, a more experiential and creative approach may work better for you - we can even do sessions outside!
