My approach to psychotherapy is to help you achieve the emotional stability and personal growth you have wanted. I understand that disorders such as anxiety and depression (these are just some of the disorders that I have a great deal of experience in) can really impact your quality of life, and make it hard to engage in a fulfilling and meaningful daily experience. With the mental health services that I have to offer, you can learn to cope better with past, current, and even future problems, so that you may achieve your life worth living.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), one who takes a generalist approach to psychotherapy, with an emphasis in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am a CBT therapist who is a Certified Diplomate through the Academy of Cognitive Therapists. I am also in training for AF-EMDR (Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing).
I have 10+ years of experience and have worked with a wide array of clients: women, men, young adults, Spanish-speaking clients, and LGBTIQ population. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Other areas of focus include mindfulness, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma, and crisis interventions.
