My approach to therapy is designed to help people develop skills to navigate life’s inevitable crises and transitions. Trained in relationally-oriented psychotherapy, I work with individuals, couples, and families to explore both the individual and interpersonal patterns that often carry forward from the past, contribute to current emotional distress, and keep people "stuck". I work collaboratively with clients to build a non-judgmental, trusting therapeutic relationship.
Clients are encouraged to develop awareness and understanding, recognize their strengths, and work toward creating self-acceptance, healthy communication, and lasting change. This work is done through the creation of individualized treatment goals and strategies, utilizing a variety of therapeutic methods.
I have professional training in mindfulness-based stress reduction and nearly two decades of experience teaching mind-body wellness. I offer individual therapy and group workshops to business professionals and mental health/medical practitioners and students highlighting the use of mindfulness-based practices to foster vitality and balance in the workplace.
