I specialize in trauma and behaviors caused by substance abuse, personality disorders, and dysfunctional relationships. I use an empathetic and direct approach which helps the client understand what negative thoughts are holding them back. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients to explore their emotions, heal past wounds, and work towards positive change. I am currently working toward Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor certification and becoming EMDR Trained.
I have gained knowledge through my own life of ups and downs, through multiple years of schooling, and working with clients over my time as a practicum and intern therapist. Having witnessed the devastating impact of trauma firsthand, I am deeply aware of what my clients go through.
I understand that each person’s experiences are unique, and tailor my therapeutic interventions to meet their individual needs. I empower my clients to take an active role in their own healing process. I am extremely passionate about helping my clients and attribute my own success to my life experiences and time in therapy.
