My name is Mark Walthofer. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the State of Pennsylvania and have been in Social Survives in one form or another for the last 40 years. I have worked with everyone from children to seniors, in services such as wrap-around, drug and alcohol, group homes hospitals, and medical practices. clinical and private mental health practices. I have experience working with adults. including young adults ages 8 to 25, seniors adolescents, and families and children parodically.
Helping clients understand what they want to accomplish. Helping them develop the smaller steps they may need to get to their final goal. Role model putting the steps together for the client. Help them identify what tools they will need to have to develop each step of the goal.
The client should expect a warm greeting an introduction and evaluation, a shared understanding that the most important thing is the communication between the client and therapist, and the understanding that of the client that the therapist is open to communication and open for questioning and understanding.
