I enjoy working with clients who have decided that wherever they are is not where they want to be and today is the day to make change. Therapy is not always easy or fast, but it has the power to shift one from hopeless to joyful for those who are willing to do the hard work.
I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Sex Therapy. I work with individuals and couples from many different backgrounds. I am especially interested in working with African Americans and other marginalized populations whose life experiences are often invalidated or misunderstood within the larger society.
Some people may feel there is something inherently wrong if they can't figure out life's difficulties alone. However, I believe that all of us have blind spots that may hold us back from living our best lives. It is a brave and healthy choice to ask for help.
