As a family-focused therapist, my goal is to support and foster a positive relationship within your family unit and find ways to support different types of relational connection. I also support adults that struggle to express themselves; "I don't know why I respond like that", unable to meet their emotional needs; "I don't know where to start" and those who find it difficult to connect with others; "I don't have people I can trust or that I can tell this to."
My experience has been primarily with children, families and adults; ages 0-5, suffering from anxiety, depression, chronic pain, phobias, substance use, oppositional defiance, at risk youth for hospitalization, survivors of trauma, families experiencing big changes and parental difficulties.
Overall my work has focused in working with monolingual Spanish speaking parents/youth, multicultural families, LGBTQI self identified individuals and blended families. It is our honor to work with such diverse populations. I believe each person has it's own culture and many internal layers that make them unique.
