My ideal client is motivated and willing to work hard to achieve therapeutic goals. I take a practical, direct approach to problem solving using CBT. My hypoallergenic therapy dog, Dood, assists with treatment and promotes a calming environment.
Many of my clients work in Police and Public Safety. I am experienced in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress and related disorders, and proficient in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and Thought Field Therapy. I treat individuals in crisis and the families of individuals suffering from stress-related disorders.
I provide Critical Incident Stress Management to Police and Public Safety (PPS) and private organizations, and teach Mitchell Model Critical Incident Stress Management. I volunteer for WCPR (since 2001) and serve as a board member for First Responders Support Network. I perform pre-employment psychological evaluations for PPS candidates.
