My name is Marie McDonald and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults, specializing in substance use disorders, relapse prevention, anxiety and depression, relationships, and communication. My communication style is collaborative and straightforward. I work together with clients to explore difficulties and challenges without judgment.
Together we will discuss what you would like to accomplish and what progress means to you. We will regularly review progress on goals and make adjustments as needed.
The first session will be gathering information about you, with what is called a bio-psycho-social. We will review your medical, social, drug history (if applicable), mental health, and employment to get a full picture of your life. We will discuss what life events brought you into therapy and what treatment may have been useful for you in the past.
