Hello, I'm Maria Welch, a licensed marriage and family therapist. I believe in creating safe, nonjudgmental spaces to heal. I have experience working with people on broken relationships with self and others and trauma. I am eclectic in my use of theoretical orientation and believe in meeting people where they are. I pull from a variety of approaches which include Dbt, Cbt, client-centered, and gestalt.
I have experience working with people that are experiencing anxiety or depression, have had trauma, or relational issues. I strive to create a calm honest environment so that people can find it easier to share their truths.
Goals in therapy are made collaboratively with the client. They choose their direction and I just guide. The first session is a way to get to know you session. To evaluate how we can work together towards healing goals.
