As a Psychotherapist, I have 14 years of experience working in a behavioral clinic setting, a small office practice and my own private practice. I have worked with families, couples and individuals raging from children to the elderly. I have clinical experience with severe mental illness to those experiencing life transitions, relational conflict, grief and loss and issues with self-esteem.
I use an integrative approach in my clinical work, incorporating CBT, mindfulness, and humanistic psychology. I take into account each individual's needs, strengths, skills, emotional intelligence, protective factors and risk factors. Being "present" to each client and appreciating what makes each client unique is essential to my work.
A quality therapeutic relationship is the foundation for treatment. I am passionate about helping others to realize their potential and become agents of change in their lives. The therapeutic relationship must be built on trust, mutual respect, non-judgment authenticity and unconditional positive regard.
