My name is Maggie (Maria Magdalena) Martins, MA, LMFT 134812 I provide a safe and confidential space for my clients to inspire change through self-awareness and self-exploration. I conduct individual therapy with adult clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship, school and work stress. My approach and style are a great fit for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship, school and work stress. I utilize a person-centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and integrate strength-based interventions to help my clients gain coping skills to improve their mental health and quality of life.
I graduated from the private university of Antioch University, Santa Barbara in California with my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. I have been a practicing therapist since 2018 and opened my private practice a year ago. I decided to become a therapist because I've always enjoyed helping others and find being a therapist extremely rewarding.
My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I listen to my clients without judgment, and I am a very compassionate individual. I believe setting goals with my clients is a collaborative effort. My client and I will set the best goals for treatment, and we will work together to accomplish those goals.
