Hello, thank you for taking the time to review my page. I am Luisa, a licensed counselor with many years of experience in trauma therapy, play therapy, and individual counseling. Like many other people, my life has been full of many ups and downs, but those experiences have enhanced my ability to empathize with my clients struggles. I believe in a holistic approach, integrating the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of one's life. I am trained in many modalities that I use in my practice, but one of the most important things that I do is create a safe space where you can explore and try new things in your healing journey.
It is my belief that clients have all that they need to create the change they want in their lives; my job is to provide the right conditions to support them. You are the expert in your life, and my expertise simply helps you on your path to wholeness. My training integrates my training in TFCBT, EMDR, CCPT, and TFT with a person-centered therapy approach.
Coming from a trauma-informed perspective, I work to employ conversation and language as an agent of change. My clients teach me how to be the best therapist that I can be. With a little bit of insight and a little experience the client and the therapist can tackle all manner of issues both big and small.
