Hello, my name is Margot Logan, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is licensed in Florida and Massachusetts, where I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in family relationships, trauma work, personal growth, and adoption. I am a vocal ally of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is to meet you where you are and to help you work through whatever you need help with. I typically work with a variety of clients. I am comfortable treating PTSD and other trauma, family issues, parenting issues, personal situations that are causing distress, and adoption related issues.
My therapeutic approach can best be described as eclectic. I primarily use insight-oriented therapy and solution focused therapy. However, I pull techniques from other approaches as needed, such as EMDR and CBT. My goal is to do whatever is most comfortable and effective for the individual client.
I have always been an empath and desired to help others. On my graduate school application, I quoted Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poem "If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain". I still feel this way, and that's what keeps me going.
