As a clinician, I am aware that the decision to seek guidance in resolving an issue, is a difficult undertaking. With this in mind, I provide a non-judgemental, safe and supportive setting in which to move forward. I am interactive and direct and have 30 years experience working with adolescents and adults who have confronted and resolved issues with anxiety, depression, life transitions and trauma (physical, emotional, sexual), which have impacted their lives.
The therapeutic relationship is essential to achieving your goals. Clients learn to effectively communicate, which enhances their confidence, resiliency and ability to self-advocate.
My approach to healing is eclectic and incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities. I integrate Attachment-Based, CBT, Mindfulness/Imagery, Solution Focused and Trauma-Focused approaches into my work. My belief is that therapy should provide insight, empowerment and growth. "Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional."
