I am a therapist specializing in depression, anxiety, career transitions, relationships and interpersonal issues. I work particularly well with performing artists, people struggling with grief, lack of self-esteem or self-confidence, eating disorders, as well as many other issues. I am a psychodynamic and psychoanalytically trained therapist, which means that I explore what has contributed to your current situation and, of course, what you can do about it now. There is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy; we find what is useful to you. I draw on my background as a yoga teacher, when applicable.
I believe that the components for a successful therapeutic treatment are: collaborating with a therapist who is the right fit for you; finding a balance of self-understanding and self-compassion; and utilizing tools to manage your feelings and your present situation.
