A lot of the inner conflict we experience corresponds with the degree to which we are aware or unaware of the deeper parts of ourselves. I believe that everyone in their authenticity is whole, and the challenge of life is to connect with your wholeness. Therapy is the process of learning how to integrate the different parts of ourselves – our emotions, ideas, beliefs, identities, into a healthy unified experience of life. In other words, we can learn to live authentically when we stop denying, suppressing, or rejecting any part of ourselves.
In therapy you decide what to talk about and the direction you want to go. My role is that of a listener, supporter, and facilitator of growth. I can provide insight into what troubles you, along with the tools to maintain lasting change. I believe a holistic approach that recognizes the mind, body, and spiritual dimensions of the person is most effective.
