Marcia Umbarger is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) who has many years of experience working with adults, veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or military sexual trauma (MST), and adolescents. Marcia's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Rehabilitation Studies, a Master of Science (MS) in Rehabilitation Counseling, and 72 hours of doctoral studies in Jungian Psychology.
Marcia uses a variety of therapy methods including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, reality therapy, and psychoanalytic/Jungian therapy. When dealing with longstanding issues, especially from childhood, Marcia uses a combination of psychoanalysis, Jungian, reality therapy, and CBT to help you make changes to yourself.
