To open up about our innermost thoughts, a supportive & understanding therapeutic environment is essential. I take pride in tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual and provide the comfort to help people to grow. I have a client centered approach, with a blend of creative cognitive and behavioral techniques, mindfulness and motivational interviewing. I have provided individual & family therapy for kids ages 4- 19 and have also worked with young adults up to senior adults, while working in a variety of professional settings, including in-home therapy for 10 years, advanced care planning, and private practice.
My extensive background includes a variety of expertise in: anxiety, depression, anger management, self esteem, bullying, high functioning autism spectrum, ADHD, LGBTQ, oppositional defiance, obsessive compulsive disorder, conflict resolution, trauma, adoption, foster care, bereavement & loss, caregiver issues, end of life, and a special passion for fertility issues & working with children.
I earned my Masters in Counseling & Guidance from New York University and my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Maryland. I love to be surrounded by family & friends. I am well-traveled and love cooking, reading, photography, long walks, shopping, and am always up for a good board game!!
