Hello, I'm Marcelene Camou (Marci), my license number is LPCC 5978. I involve my patients by listening to their concerns and allowing them to process and understand effective steps to improving their conditions and situations. Most of my clients are adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety or depression. Many have family relationship challenges that they need to process or understand. I find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to be most effective. I also believe Mindfulness techniques are productive and helpful when trying to navigate personal issues.
I was a teacher of special needs for 19 years. I wanted to work with these students to improve their self-esteem and emotional health. I became an administrator for severely emotionally disturbed individuals and provided specialized educational placement to meet their unique needs.
