Are you feeling burnt out, easily triggered, or overwhelmed? My ideal client is someone who has been living in survival mode but wants to understand their emotions more deeply so they can manage their life more effectively. My clients often feel that they have to put on a mask and fake a smile, but on the inside they are in a world of pain that very few people, if any, truly understand. Therapy is a place where that mask can safely come off. I am passionate about helping people improve their ability to cope with their emotional and physical pain so that they can experience life more fully instead of just surviving.
I work with clients from all walks of life, but specialize in treating clients with chronic illness, pain, and disabilities. Having a chronic illness or disability is an isolating experience that comes with invalidation, discrimination, and grief. I have lived experience with chronic illness and expertise in navigating these unique challenges.
In addition to traditional talk therapy, I run a weekly healthy relationships group for trauma survivors via telehealth and do Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) an eye-movement therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to treat complex trauma and phobias.
