My practice serves individuals, children and families facing a variety of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, family conflict, life transitions and substance abuse recovery. It is my goal to work collaboratively with my clients to create positive change. I use play therapy with children and adolescents to engage them in the therapeutic process. I work with adults using compassion, empathy and a natural curiosity, which helps to gently empower my clients toward completion of their treatment goals. If necessary, I will coordinate with schools, probation, DCF or other agencies.
I am trained in Hypnotherapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences, including PTSD.
