I see therapy as a partnership; you are the expert on your thoughts, feelings, and past experiences, and I am the guide who helps reframe and challenge certain lenses you might be using to view a situation or part of yourself. One of my primary specialties is working with those who are struggling with their use of substances. Another area of passion for me is assisting those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or who are having difficulty moving on from a past event. A third focus in my practice is working with the experiences of those in the LGBTQ+ community.
My style of therapy embraces and faces the negative emotions, traumatic events, hurt, loss, or change that bring you into therapy, and works alongside you to feel, understand, act, and continue towards a fulfilling, empowered next step. My passion lies in the process of working through the stuff we hold onto too long, and the overwhelming situations we face.
I look forward to working with you in laughter and in tears, whether we are talking through emotionally-charged situations or celebrating successes. I am excited to work with you! Please feel free to text or call me with any questions or to get started today!
