In treating OCD, I want to get to know you and understand what brings you to seek therapy. Knowing your goals helps me collaborate with you on creating an effective treatment plan. At NOCD, my team and I provide personalized and effective specialized treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling). Our understanding of the nuances of these conditions enables us to diagnose and treat them properly. We have received training in evidence-based treatments, including Exposure Response and Prevention (ERP) therapy—the gold standard treatment for OCD.
When you start with NOCD, you'll work with me or be paired with a therapist in our network, based on your preferences. At NOCD, we’ll work together to understand your challenges and create a treatment plan to achieve your goals. NOCD offers support between sessions through direct messaging and access to peer communities, ensuring you never feel alone.
It’s normal to feel hesitant about sharing thoughts with your therapist because you believe your thoughts are bad, embarrassing, or distressing. I provide a safe space to explore those thoughts through ERP therapy. The more open and honest you are, the better I'm able to help you.
