Truth. Life’s complicated and we’re too hard on ourselves. My clients are typically women going through two key transitions in their life: emerging adulthood and adjusting to parenthood. My clients are often leaving home, graduating, establishing their careers, and starting a family. They are often really good at taking care of others and not as good at taking care of themselves. I specialize in working with anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, and boundary challenges. As well as concerns related to the adjustment to parenthood, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, birth trauma, infertility, and pregnancy loss.
I’m direct, warm, and playful and you’ll sometimes hear a curse word or two. My approach uses mindful self-compassion, cognitive behavioral, and somatic techniques. I look at concerns through a feminist, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens.
