I specialize in working with adults and adolescents working through trauma, shame, relationship/family difficulties, and mood disorders. I have experience working with a broad range of ages, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, genders, sexualities, and family compositions. People come to therapy with a broad range of strengths and difficulties, but the thing they all have in common is that they want something to change. Therapy is a space for you to explore what you want those changes to be and begin the process of creating them for yourself, with the therapist as a supportive collaborator.
My approach to therapy is to create a warm, strengths-based, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space for clients to explore how their past experiences are impacting their lives today. In reflecting on the past, one can identify which behaviors and beliefs no longer serve one's current goals and circumstances, and develop a healthier, happier way of being.
