Often, looking for a counselor and attending therapy require great strength and courage. Stigmatization around mental health disorders and lack of health insurance are some of the barriers many people must overcome before sitting in the counseling session. As a Counselor, I want to do everything possible to facilitate that process. I want to offer nothing different from what I would like to receive as a client: a safe, honest, and culturally-sensitive environment in which new paths to achieve a more fulfilling life can be discovered.
I provide counseling to children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. I have ten years of experience working with adolescents, especially those who identify as LGBT or Q, and their families. My counseling approach is rooted on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, and Systemic Therapy. I am a Qualified Supervisor for MH and MF Interns.

Groups
Group for Women Who Do Too Much
Sexism and economic inequality, access to equal opportunity, lack of respect for caregiving, and navigating career and motherhood, are some of the systemic problems women must deal with in our society. This group wants to offer a space for those women struggling to feel worthy, stay focused and productive, feeling overwhelmed by the constant bombarding from the media about their image, and for those craving more time to connect with other women. This group is a space to step back from the overload of daily life and remember to practice self-love and acceptance.
