Have you ever felt like you just can’t get out of your own way, or that you are your own worst enemy? Do you feel stuck in your love life or career? Have you noticed frustrating, recurring patterns in your relationships with romantic partners, family members, or bosses and coworkers? If so, I may be able to help. Therapy provides an opportunity to identify and understand these patterns, and to work together to find ways to change them. Often, a key element of the work involves understanding how past experiences or relationships have shaped and contributed to your present-day life.

My patients are people facing a wide range of difficulties, including depression and anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and significant life transitions (e.g., graduating college, marriage, parenthood). Some groups that I tend to work with are health professionals, perinatal women, and teens/young adults, though I work with folks of all stripes.
In my experience, the relationship between patient and therapist is critical: Therapy can be hard work, and patients need to feel safe, respected, and understood in order to dive in. A sense of humor, along with a genuine appreciation for the diversity of human experience, goes a long way. Please feel free to reach out for more information.
