Life is difficult, and what makes it difficult usually involves other people. You can't change them, and changing yourself... who wants to stop being themselves to please other people? What you CAN change is how you RELATE to other people: how you act, how you think, what you're willing to put up with. A lot of pain is caused by our own limited view of ourselves; we contain much more than we know. I do talk therapy and art therapy, either or both -- that's up to you. You know more about you. I'll follow your lead.
Most of my work is with people who feel sad, or stuck, or buzzing with anxiety -- or all three. Daily life isn't rewarding (and it's hard to get motivated to carry on an unrewarding life). Life can also be overwhelming; I help people get things under control.
I do 50-minute sessions; they feel more relaxed. If you have out-of-network insurance, then, once your deductible is met, the company will likely reimburse a percentage of my fee (60 to 80 percent). I accept cash, checks, and automatic payments (such as QuickPay, Zelle). See maggierobbinstherapy.com.
